But when the family goes on a vacation to Kashmir, they find out that Neena is really Raja's step daughter and that her mother recently passed away. Now Raja would like his wife's real daughter to come and stay with him. Naveen has to make a decision - leave the house or stay back in it. Dekha Pyar Toh Dekha (1957): Hindi Lajwanti is an attractive young girl who comes from a wealthy family living in Lahore, Punjab in India during the 1950s. Lajwanti has a great fascination for the city of Lucknow and is in love with its culture of music and dance. Several times, Lajwanti's father has tried to arrange her marriage with an eligible man of Lahore, but she always manages to find a way out of it. Lajwanti knows that a proposal of marriage from a Lucknow family would be far more desirable but her father remains stubborn, not wanting his daughter to leave Lahore for another place. Soon, the very thing that Lajwanti secretly wishes for happens - she receives a proposal from the Prince of Lucknow himself named Prince Vinayak. Naturally, Lajwanti's father Samir is not very happy that the Prince has come all the way to Lahore and is causing a great disturbance in his life. He does not like anyone to discover his house and become a part of the family. Again Lajwanti manages to hide things from her father; but when she finally confesses about her feelings for this prince, Samir becomes furious and locks Lajwanti in her room. Much against hand, Lajwanti's maid Maanvi helps her escape from the room by scaling the walls and crawling into an adjacent room.
